Seiten mit Alltags-Tipps von Nutzern für Nutzer gibt es viele. Zu oft geht es dort aber leider nur um Banales: wie man Flecken aus dem Tischtuch entfernt, die Pendlerpauschale in Anspruch nimmt oder Windows repariert.
Nicht so im “WikiHow” – da kann man lernen, wie man eine gute Tochter wird (leider jedoch nur auf Englisch).
Ein paar besonders lebenskluge Ratschläge:
- “Spend time with your parents. Get close to them and be yourself around them. For example: Go to the mall and shop with them”
- “Be easygoing”
- “Try to stay off sarcasm.”

Bei so einem Beitrag muss ich einfach mal wieder …
Herrlich, was diese Kreationisten (denen ordne ich die Verfasser einfach mal zu) sich so alles ausdenken, wenn der Tag lang ist.
Aber der war wohl nicht lang genug – sonst wären da keine Widersprüche drin. “Don’t talk back!!!” und “If you disagree with something that your parent says/does, tell them …”, das passt doch nicht.
Das Ganze erinnert mich ziemlich an Penny’s (war’s Penny?!) Guide to Popularity, aus damals der Nada-Surf-Hit “Popular” wurde:
“Being attractive is the most important thing there is
If you wanna catch the biggest fish in your pond
You have to be as attractive as possible
Make sure to keep your hair spotless and clean
Wash it at least every two weeks
Once every two weeks
And if you see Johnny football hero in the hall
Tell him he played a great game
Tell him you like his article in the newspaper”
Als ambitionierte Tochter hab ich mir übrigens die Haare heute gewaschen und meinen Eltern noch nicht widersprochen.
